Ever feel like the more you try, the more life’s just laughing at you?
Same.
Today, I’m blogging about life—how to make it through without drowning in depressed emotions, imposter syndrome, or that delightful mix of loneliness and mental anguish.
You know, the usual Tuesday.
It’s becoming clearer by the day that what we all really need is a mental vacation.
A day where we pretend life doesn’t exist. Maybe a luxurious trip to the beach, lounging in the sand, casually wiping it off your ass like it’s the last of your dignity.
Or how about sleeping in until the afternoon, only to wake up and eat breakfast when it’s technically lunch? But let’s face it, not all of us were born with a trust fund or an exit plan.
So what do we do? Instead of scrolling through social media, pretending memes are your best friend, or watching Netflix until your eyeballs dry out, let’s rethink this whole "life" thing and change our mindset.
How, you ask? Great question. The answer might surprise you. Actually, it won’t.
Start paying attention to how you feel.I know, it sounds revolutionary. But seriously—if you’re tired, sad, or just overall done with the universe, ask yourself, “Why?” What’s behind your sadness? Is it because you’d rather binge-watch literally anything than step outside and risk encountering other humans? Or are you afraid to try something new because, let’s be real, failure is terrifying and comfort is addictive? Same, though.
Identify your misery. Why does everything suck right now? Find the root cause. Is it that soul-sucking job? That one friend who only calls when they need something? Or maybe it's just existential dread from knowing we’re all just hurtling through space on a rock. You know, the usual.
Step out of your comfort zone.Yeah, I said it. Get uncomfortable. Comfort is overrated, and frankly, it's trapping you in a cycle of “meh.” Learn a new language, take up a hobby, or just go outside and stare at the sun until you remember that you, too, can shine. Or get sunburned—your call.
At the end of the day, you're in charge of this mess we call life. You’re the writer of your own tragicomedy, so maybe try switching genres before the final curtain falls. (Pun Intended)
Take a deep look at your life and ask yourself, “Is this really the plot twist I want?” Because no one else is going to rewrite it for you. (pun definitely INTENDED)
